The better question is whether the right patients can find the right page across Google, Maps, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and high-intent patient searches.
    Yes. I optimise for AI-driven search experiences such as AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and future AI search interfaces. But I do not treat AI optimisation as a gimmick. The foundation is still strong healthcare content, clear clinic signals, structured information, doctor expertise, treatment authority, and pages useful enough to be retrieved, summarised, or referenced.
    Yes. Traditional SEO is still important for treatment searches, condition searches, doctor searches, local clinic searches, and service-specific keywords. The point is not to replace Google SEO with AI optimisation. The point is to build visibility across both traditional and AI-driven discovery.
    Yes. For clinics, Maps can be one of the highest-intent discovery channels. Maps optimisation can include Google Business Profile improvements, service categories, reviews, location relevance, local pages, and local authority signals.
    Yes. Google Ads sits inside getting found in Search. If your clinic needs enquiries faster, paid search can be useful while SEO compounds. But I do not run ads in isolation. Paid search works best when campaigns, keywords, landing pages, tracking, and patient intent are aligned.
    For SEO and AIO, expect 3–6 months to see early movement and 9–12 months for more meaningful results. Google Ads can produce enquiries faster, often within weeks, but paid traffic stops when budget stops. The strongest strategy usually combines short-term paid search with long-term organic authority.
    Then SEO will be limited. Search can bring patients in, but the website still has to support the decision. If your website is unclear, generic, slow, thin, or weak on trust, the SEO strategy may need treatment page improvements, landing page restructuring, or a larger website rebuild.
